Congratulations UTM for taking another progressive step ahead, as they are the first technical institute in Malaysia to have incorporated ICAS softwares in their technical courses’ syllabus. After having PV Elite embedded into their syllabus last year, they have decided to add on CAESAR II recently and the training was a success.
Quoting Professor Zainal Zakaria, a senior lecturer in UTM, “it was a good decision to bring in the softwares as UTM’s graduates will stand out, compared to other graduates when they are in the working field, as they are more knowledgeable and capable in term of technical expert”.
Technically, CAESAR II evaluates the structural responses and stresses of piping systems to international codes and standards. It is the pipe stress analysis standard against which all others are measured.
